This original, one-of-a-kind artwork is acrylic paint on stretched canvas.

I also used crayon, pencil and ink during the process.

A Word From The Artist...

"Equilibrium" means so much to me because she represents what I feel we should all be aspiring to. The word equilibrium means 'a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced'.

For so long I, like a lot of people, felt lost about who I was and what I should be doing. Words like 'wife' 'mother' and even 'desk job' had consumed all of me until there wasn't a lot of plain ol' Kate left. I know I am not alone in feeling this way, which is why she was a much needed part of my '50 Shades of The Feminine' collection. Getting back into art (which is where my passion has always been) and finding my artist voice has helped me re-establish balance in my life. I am still a wife and a mother, and I still have a desk job, all things that I adore, but now I have art too. 

"Equilibrium" is serene, accepting and at peace - and I definitely aspire to her tranquility.
